Shipping by UPS

We are finally starting to negotiate a contract with the transportation company.

I decided to use UPS for shipping.

When it comes to shipping to Austria, there are three realistic options: DHL, UPS, and Austrian Post. Austrian Post is the cheapest, so for our store, whose motto is "as cheap as possible," we wanted to choose it.

However, the disadvantage of all postal services is that they are slower than DHL and UPS in terms of delivery times. Conversely, DHL and UPS are expensive, but their selling point is that they are fast.

It's a question of balance between price difference and delivery speed.

Consumers are accustomed to short delivery times worldwide due to the efficient operation of private delivery companies. In particular, delivery within Japan is naturally fast, and precisely timed deliveries are widespread, so many people cannot tolerate delays.

If it's a high-priced item, this price difference can be easily absorbed, so I decided that DHL or UPS would be better.

The tricky part is products priced from 80,000 yen to less than 50,000 yen. We have made it possible to select a shipping method for products for which many people would prefer a lower price even if there is a price difference in shipping charges.
